Annual Result Announcement & Prize Distribution Ceremony-2019/20

The ceremony was held on the 22nd of March, 2020 in presence of all monks of the monastery including both Sr. and Jr. Abbot of the Monastery Venerable Khenpo Kunga Dhondup la and Khenpo Jampa Dhakpa la respectively. The pass percentage of our college student was cent percent whereas the school student was 86 percent. Among various prizes, Lhaksam Dhondup la from class IV was awarded the Whole First, Kunga Tharchin la from class VIII was awarded the Best School Student and Dhaulagiri House was awarded the Cock House of the Year. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, none of the guests were invited from outside.

COVID-19 Check-Up

As a precaution measure, the body temperature of all monks of the monastery are being checked-up from time to time. Like on earlier times, the body temperature of all monks checked-up on the 10th of April, 2020 showed normal as well. The monks were also not found with any other symptoms of COVID-19. Stay Home! Stay Healthy!

Free Dental Camp

For 3 days from the 18th till the 20th of April, 2019, our monastery hosted the Free-of-Cost Dental Camp under the sponsorship of Global Dental Relief. The dental team was also from GDR. In total, around 300 patients were examined, treated, distributed tooth brushes, and have received lessons on Dental Hygiene. It was the 2nd time our monastery hosted GDR. The previous one was in November 2018.

The 27th Sakya Prayer Gathering for the World Peace and Harmony was held at Bodhgaya, India from the 25th of December till the 3rd of January, 2019. All our senior and junior monks took part in it.

Tri-Lingual Elocution and Quiz Competition

On the 15th and 16th of January 2019, our monastery hosted The 3rd Inter-Mustang Monastic and Lay Schools’ Tri-Lingual Elocution and Tibetan Language Quiz Competition” organized by Mustang Sakya Buddhist Association. In total, fifty participants from ten schools including our monastic school took part in the competition.
